Who applies the Microsoft IDE driver on nForce 2 or 3 and finds out slow data
communication rates about the controller IDE, should examine whether also the
appropriate DMA mode for the disk drive is active for.
To control open the Windows system control / Device Manager, click on the plus
before ATA/ATAPI Controller IDE. Unterwindow opens.
Mouse click on the right on "attributes" of primary and secondary IDE channel
Announcement attributes opens a new window. Go here on "extended attitudes"
and check if "DMA if availably" is active. If not, change this setting.
The option, please check for primary and secondary IDE channel.
After a PC the restart which Windows XP also suggests, the highest possible
DMA mode should be active for the disk drives.
If the possibility that the procedure UDMA still does not consist, it is maybe
in the BIOS not on enabled.
